When to use it

Use when a plaintiff firm prepares the documents and the medical questions for a Victorian WorkSafe Medical Panel. The Authority or the court refers. Do not use it for a Wrongs Act significant-injury panel, and do not use it to brief a party's expert.

Used for these tasks

Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.

How AI may be used

The tool may index the documents the lawyer has selected and copy the statutory questions, and the lawyer settles anything that is sent or filed.

AI may

  • Assemble the index from the documents the lawyer has selected, with one page sequence.
  • Insert the pathway or forum block the lawyer has selected and remove the others.

AI must not

  • Must not state an impairment percentage, a diagnosis, or whether a statutory threshold is met.
  • Must not put health or wage records into a public or consumer tool.
  • Must not draft an affidavit, a witness statement or a statutory declaration.
  • Must not write the referral to the Convenor or the request that is filed in court.
  • Must not write to a member of the Medical Panel.

The lawyer checks

  • One block remains: the impairment dispute or the court referral.
  • The 60 day period in section 204 and the 14 day period in section 207 or 274 have been checked by the lawyer.
  • The questions are the section 207 questions, or the lawyer has settled the court questions.
  • No percentage is stated.

Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
