When to use it

Use after an order has directed that a child's damages, or other money, be paid to Funds in Court. Do not use it to seek approval of the compromise, or to work out the cheque or the electronic payment.

Used for these tasks

Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.

How AI may be used

The family can be given this note, and the tool writes nothing in the statutory declaration used for a payment out at 18.

AI may

  • Explain that the Senior Master holds the money and that it remains the child's money.
  • Record the Common Fund facts the Funds in Court page states, including the $10,000 and six-year conditions for Common Fund No. 3.
  • List the steps to ask for a payment out, without completing any form or declaration.

AI must not

  • Do not write the statutory declaration, or any words that would go into it.
  • Do not promise that every client is paid in full at 18.
  • Do not apply the victims-of-crime time limits on that page to personal injury damages.
  • Do not state a fee. The page says no fees or charges are directly deducted from Common Fund No. 2. It does not state a fee for Common Fund No. 3.

The lawyer checks

  • Confirm the order actually pays the money to the Senior Master.
  • Give Centrelink only a figure the office has put in writing. A student must tell Centrelink about income earned on the funds.
  • Order 79 of the 2025 Rules was not opened. Do not add it.
