Where this comes from

The official form is published by courts.qld.gov.au; this page is a completion guide. Last checked on 2026-10-23.

When to use it

Use when a Queensland personal-injury proceeding is ready for a request for trial date under the Uniform Civil Procedure Rules. The Brisbane Supreme Court and District Court allocation-of-trial-date forms are separate documents and were not opened. This is not a pleading.

Used for these tasks

Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.

How AI may be used

AI may check Form 48 against the file and list what is incomplete; it writes nothing that will be filed, including the readiness confirmation, and the lawyer signs and files it.

AI may

  • Check the downloaded file against the current resources page
  • List, from the file, whether a trial plan and the Practice Direction 9 of 2010 checklist are already agreed for a Supreme Court proceeding
  • Index dates to avoid and the estimated length only where the lawyers have already recorded them

AI must not

  • Must not write the readiness confirmation under rule 467(4), the outstanding-matters table, the trial length, the dates, or the signature block
  • Must not write any statement that will be filed
  • Must not decide that the proceeding is ready for trial
  • Must not sign or file the request
  • Must not write clause K, the confirmation that the information supplied in the form is correct

The lawyer checks

  • The current Form 48 is used, and it is not confused with the unopened allocation-of-trial-date forms
  • Rule 467 and rule 469 are read before the confirmation or a dispensed signature is used
  • Supreme Court Practice Direction 9 of 2010 is read before the trial plan is confirmed; that direction was not opened
  • Filed references are checked against the accuracy practice directions named on the courts generative-AI page

Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
