Checklist · Personal Injury & Compensation
Index for a personal-injury demand package
A contents list for a demand a lawyer sends after records are in. Every dollar on it has to come from a document in the package. It is not a statement of the law of damages.

When to use it
Use when the lawyer is ready to send a written demand and wants one index of what it relies on. Do not use it before the records path is done. Do not add a damages category the file does not support.
Used for these tasks
- Draft a letter of demand or particulars of injury from the schedule
- Prepare a damages or statutory-entitlements schedule
- Draft a settlement advice and conference paper
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may list documents the lawyer has already tagged and add the figures printed on those documents. The lawyer decides what is demanded and what is left out.
AI may
- Build the index from the tagged medical records, bills, and wage documents
- Copy dollar figures only from the face of a tagged document
- Leave a row blank rather than estimate a missing bill
AI must not
- Must not invent a total, a multiplier, or a statutory interest figure
- Must not describe the index as a filed pleading or as a sworn proof of loss
- Must not send the package
The lawyer checks
- Each amount is traceable to a document listed on the index
- Records came through the authorization or the access request, and the date range is stated
- Any state pre-suit requirement is filled only from a statute the lawyer has opened
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
