When to use it
Use when acting for a Victim Assist Queensland applicant who asks the scheme to pay medical, dental or damaged-glasses expenses caused by an act of violence in Queensland.
Used for these tasks
- Build the expenses and income loss schedule for a financial assistance claim
- Respond to a scheme's request for further information
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
The tool may build an invoice schedule from the receipts for the lawyer to check, and it writes nothing in the request or the privacy acknowledgement.
AI may
- List treatment invoices, Medicare and insurer rebates, and the practitioner for each invoice
- Note whether a Part A application number is already on the file
AI must not
- Must not write the privacy acknowledgement, the consent, or the request that is submitted
- Must not decide which treatment the table of costs covers
- Must not send the request
The lawyer checks
- Part A already lodged, or lodged with this request
- The expense is an injury directly caused by violence in Queensland, or a pre-existing condition the violence made worse
- The practitioner is approved, and Medicare, insurance and other agencies are shown on the invoices
- Uploads meet the page's file types and 200KB limit
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
