When to use it
Use while collecting documents for a primary victim's NSW recognition payment application. The report of what happened is a police, government or government-funded report, or the police information in the form. It is not a statement drafted for the victim.
Used for these tasks
- Prepare the application to a state victims support scheme
- Index the police, medical and counselling records for a victims' application
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
Within this fixed list, AI may tick a document as present or missing by its date and type; the lawyer confirms each document is the one the scheme will accept.
AI may
- Mark each listed document present or missing from the file, with its date
- Flag a medical, dental or counselling report that is still outstanding and the 12-month date from lodgement
AI must not
- Must not draft the report of what happened, or a statement of impact
- Must not send identity documents to a tool that is not approved for that material
- Must not lodge the application
The lawyer checks
- The report of what happened is a report of the kind the page accepts, or the police information the form asks for
- The 12-month date for a missing medical, dental or counselling report is diarised from lodgement
- Identity documents match the name on the application, or a change-of-name document is included
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
