Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the scheme file, build a dated chronology and an issues list for a Transport Accident Commission decision or a WorkSafe agent or self-insurer decision. The tool does not complete the application form or write the submission.
- What the lawyer must review
- Confirm whether the dispute is a TAC claim decision or a WorkSafe or self-insurer decision.
- Use the TAC 21-day response, or the 60-day conciliation guide, only for the decision that was actually received.
- The lawyer writes anything lodged. Keep medical records in a firm-controlled tool and apply ASCR r 9 and APP 11.

The work product
Forum. Transport Accident Commission review, including VCAT where the TAC policy allows it, or Workplace Injury Commission conciliation
Produce. A chronology and issues list for the lawyer to use in the review or conciliation. Not the lodged form.
Have ready. The decision, or the unanswered request, and its date; Claim records, certificates and invoices selected by the lawyer; The current TAC response policy or Workplace Injury Commission conciliation page.
Example of the limit. Illustrative example: A WorkSafe agent decision is dated 40 days ago. The draft lists the weekly-payment issue and the certificates. The lawyer decides whether the 60-day guide still allows a conciliation application and writes the form.
Stop and hand it back when
- The decision date or the decision-maker cannot be identified.
- The draft starts to complete a form or a submission that will be lodged.

Checklist
- For a TAC claim, use the policy that the TAC decides within 21 days. A denial can be reviewed in VCAT. A failure to decide can be reviewed in VCAT only if the TAC has not requested further information. Do not invent a VCAT filing time.
- For a WorkSafe agent or self-insurer decision, use the Workplace Injury Commission guide to send the Application for Conciliation within 60 days, and record any reason if it is late.
- Attach the decision, treatment request, certificates or invoices only where the Commission page says that document starts the dispute.
- If the matter later becomes a court document, check the Supreme Court practice note SC Gen 25 before any generated text is filed. The County Court note was not opened.
