Key facts
- Human involvement
- RedLawyer-led
- How AI is used
- Build a cited chronology and issues list from the medical and payroll records the lawyer selects, and draft submission headings for the lawyer to settle. Do not generate the content of a person's evidence.
- What the lawyer must review
- Confirm the Workers Compensation Division or the Motor Accidents Division, and the form
- Verify every medical fact, citation and time limit before lodgment
- Do not put generated text into a statement a person is to adopt
- Keep health and compelled records in a firm-controlled tool (ASCR r 9, APP 11)
Rules that apply

The work product
Forum. Personal Injury Commission of New South Wales, Workers Compensation Division or Motor Accidents Division
Produce. A chronology, issues list and submission headings for the lawyer to settle before lodgment.
Have ready. Lawyer-selected medical and payroll records; The insurer's decision and any internal review; Current PIC procedural direction for the dispute type.
Example of the limit. Illustrative example: The file has a work capacity decision and a separate claim for weekly payments. The tool keeps them in separate rows. The lawyer chooses the application, because a mixed dispute is not the expedited form.
Stop and hand it back when
- The output is being pasted into a statement of a person's evidence.
- Compelled or health records would leave the firm's controlled tool.

Who does what
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Assistance | Supporting preparation only. Build a cited chronology and issues list from the medical and payroll records the lawyer selects, and draft submission headings for the lawyer to settle. Do not generate the content of a person's evidence. The tool writes nothing into the document. Substantive advice, judgement and any restricted content remain with the responsible human. |
| Lawyer | Perform the substantive analysis and decisions. Independently check any permitted supporting work and approve the exact output for its intended use. |
Checklist
- For a work capacity dispute only, Procedural Direction WC5 uses an Application for Expedited Assessment. A dispute mixed with another entitlement uses an Application to Resolve a Dispute.
- For a motor accident dispute, check that any internal review was asked for within 28 days of receiving notice of the insurer's decision, and that the further dispute is lodged with the Commission.
- PIC13 paragraph 11 allows a chronology and written submissions. Paragraph 12 prohibits generating the content of a person's evidence.
- Check paragraph 10 before compelled material, material under the Harman undertaking, or material subject to a publication prohibition is placed in the tool. Paragraph 9 warns that data entered into a generative AI program may be used to train the model. A public tool is not used.
