When to use it
Use after you have opened the assigned judge's current standing order and it requires an AI certificate. It complements the federal filing worksheet (a5-us-generative-ai-filing-certification), which stays in the file. Do not file a certificate in a court that has withdrawn its requirement, and do not mix one judge's wording with another's.

Adapt it to the matter, filling in each placeholder shown in [square brackets].
Use AI only as far as the Yellow level allows. “How AI may be used” says what AI may and must not do.
Before it goes out, a lawyer checks it against current law and each point under “The lawyer checks”.
How AI may be used
A tool may pick the matching variant once the lawyer has opened the order and confirmed it governs the case. The lawyer completes the facts and signs.
AI may
Match the assigned judge's name to the variant below
Fill in the tool name and uses the lawyer has listed
Flag a judge in the prohibition list before any AI use on the matter
AI must not
Must not treat a variant here as current without the lawyer opening the order on the court's site
Must not certify verification, review or confidentiality on the lawyer's behalf
Must not use these certificates for a judge who prohibits AI in filings
The lawyer checks
The order is current, assigned to this case and not superseded by a local rule
Every person the order requires to sign has signed, in the form the order requires (Marston: wet signature)
The facts stated (tool, parts, verification, confidentiality) are true
