Diary for notifying the ACNC of changes to charity details
Diary of changes the ACNC notifying page says must be lodged, and whether the charity has 28 or 60 days, depending on size. It records the date the charity became aware. It does not submit the form.

When to use it
Use when a responsible person, the legal name, the Address For Service or the governing document changes, or when a significant breach may have to be notified. Notify through the Charity Portal.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may calculate the 28-day or 60-day notification period from the charity size; the lawyer checks every change and decides whether it is a significant breach or a material error.
AI may
- Calculate 28 or 60 days from the awareness date the lawyer enters
- List changes on the file that have no Charity Portal receipt
- Flag a significant-breach note so it is not given the small-charity period
AI must not
- Must not decide that a breach is significant
- Must not lodge the form or draft the redacted governing document
- Must not assume a state regulator has already approved a rule change
The lawyer checks
- Size is the current ACNC size, because the period is 60 days for a small charity and 28 days for a medium or large charity
- The governing document is notified only after the change has formally taken place
- A company limited by guarantee's special resolution, or a state association's approval where the page says it is required, is on the file before the ACNC form
- A significant breach uses 28 days even if the charity is small
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
