Where this comes from
The official form is published by ntcat.nt.gov.au; this page is a completion guide. Last checked on 2026-10-22.
When to use it
Use when applying to NTCAT to register a guardianship order made outside the Northern Territory. Do not use Form AG1 or Form AG5 for that registration. The interstate order is not rewritten by a tool.
Used for these tasks
- Prepare a guardianship or administration tribunal application pack
- Prepare a tribunal-hearing bundle and a one-page issues list
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may check the pack against the current form and list missing documents. The lawyer writes any account of capacity, health or views, and checks every filing.
AI may
- Check the pack against the current official form and list missing parts named on the page
- Flag when a guardianship form, an enduring instrument or a health report is being used for the wrong application
- List the lodgement path and the contact details stated on the page that was opened
AI must not
- Must not describe disability, capacity or the person's views in words the lawyer and applicant have not confirmed
- Must not draft a health report, a statutory declaration or a suitability declaration
- Must not sign, file or serve the application
The lawyer checks
- The current form is the one prescribed for this application
- Medical and capacity evidence is in the words of the practitioner who wrote it
- Any fee, who may apply, and the current practice direction are checked before filing
- The court's or tribunal's current index is checked before assuming a generative-AI practice direction applies. None was stated on the page opened for this guide.
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
