When to use it
Use when a relevant entity places a work order or other order under a standing offer or panel. It does not establish the standing offer.
Used for these tasks
- Prepare a work order under a standing offer or panel arrangement
- Check an approach to market against the rules that apply
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may copy the standing offer details and list the suppliers approached. It must not decide that an SME-only approach is inappropriate or choose the supplier.
AI may
- Copy the standing offer identifier, the suppliers on it and the suppliers actually approached
- Flag a file in which only one supplier was approached although the standing offer lists more than one
- Enter the expected value of the work order from the draft order
AI must not
- Must not decide that paragraph 5.5(c) applies
- Must not select the supplier or draft the statement of work
- Must not treat Division 2 time limits as applying to the work order
The lawyer checks
- The arrangement is a standing offer as defined in Appendix B
- Paragraph 5.5 is applied or a documented decision is made where the panel and value engage it
- Reporting of the work order is checked against paragraphs 7.18 to 7.20 and paragraph 9.13
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
