Used for these tasks

Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.

How AI may be used

The tool can open the worksheet and repeat the last estimate from the file. The lawyer marks the test for that state and whether this update, the library letter, or neither, is sent.

AI may

  • Enter the date of the last disclosure from the file
  • List the injury items that have moved, without amounts, until the lawyer adds them
  • Flag a threshold question as one that goes to the library letter

AI must not

  • Must not mark the change as significant or as substantial
  • Must not choose which letter is sent
  • Must not fill the Uniform Rules threshold amounts

The lawyer checks

  • A disclosure was already made, so that section 174(1)(b) or section 315 is the section being considered
  • The significant-change box is used only on a New South Wales or confirmed Victorian file
  • The library significant-change letter is not ticked for the same change as this update
