From the injury dates, the body systems and any earlier assessment the lawyer marks, using a firm-controlled tool, list what is still missing for an assessment. Do not calculate a dollar amount and do not choose which impairments to claim.
What the lawyer must review
  • You choose which impairments are assessed. The tool does not.
  • Do not enter a dollar figure. The regulation was not opened.
  • A psychiatric impairment is assessed only by the Medical Assessment Tribunal.
  • Use a firm-controlled tool. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11 and any notifiable breach.

Health, wage and scheme records stay in a firm-controlled tool. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a disclosure is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The WorkSafe and WorkCover pages say a worker can ask to be assessed for permanent impairment, and the insurer may also refer the worker. The degree can be from 0 per cent to 100 per cent. A psychiatric or psychological permanent impairment is assessed only by the Medical Assessment Tribunal. The notice of assessment sets out the assessment, any lump-sum offer and the options. The dollar ranges are in the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Regulation 2025, which was not opened, so no amount is entered.

The pages do not state a rule for adding a physical score to a psychological score, and they do not state a one-assessment rule. Neither is applied here. The choice between the offer and damages is a later question.
