Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
Yellow: the lawyer matches each regulatory item to the plan and uses the current model text where the plan relies on deemed compliance.
AI may
- List the content items in 29 CFR 2520.102-3 that were read.
- Point to the deemed-compliance model statements without copying them into a booklet.
- Leave benefit descriptions, caps, and provider lists blank.
AI must not
- Do not furnish a summary plan description or a model ERISA-rights statement.
- Do not copy a PBGC guarantee figure into a booklet from this list.
- Do not restate 29 CFR 2520.102-2. It was not opened.
- Do not decide that a benefit cap is lawful.
The lawyer checks
- Use the current text of paragraphs (m), (t), and (u) if the plan relies on a deemed-compliance statement.
- Read 29 CFR 2520.102-2 before treating a separate claims or provider document as compliant.
- Describe only the caps, networks, and eligibility rules that are in the plan.
- Do not calculate a pension or a premium.
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
