When to use it
Use when a Disability Support Pension claim needs medical evidence and the practitioner has not yet reported. It asks for facts. It does not rate an impairment or draft the report.
Used for these tasks
- Prepare the request to a treating doctor for Disability Support Pension evidence
- Map the medical evidence against the Disability Support Pension impairment tables
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may insert the conditions and the practitioners from the claim form into this letter; the practitioner who treats the person writes the medical content.
AI may
- Address the letter to the treating doctor or other health professional named on the file
- List the topics Services Australia says the evidence should cover
- Name the type of practitioner the page requires for a mental health, intellectual, hearing or vision condition
AI must not
- Must not draft the medical report, a diagnosis, or an impairment rating
- Must not say the condition is diagnosed, reasonably treated and stabilised
- Must not cite the impairment tables instrument; the Services Australia page points to the Department of Social Services tables and that page was not opened
The lawyer checks
- The letter asks only for matters the Services Australia page lists
- The correct practitioner type is requested where the page requires one
- A manifest category is included only if the claim actually raises it
- No proposed rating or table score appears in the letter
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
