When to use it
Use when a Queensland inquest has made recommendations or comments and the file needs a record of whether a published response exists and whether implementation is still open.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
The tool may enter dates and publication status from the file and the public response, and it does not draft the response or say a recommendation must be implemented.
AI may
- Enter each recommendation, who it is directed to, and the date it was made.
- Enter six months from that date as the publication checkpoint the court's page describes.
- Record whether a response is published beside the findings, and the implementation status the published response states.
- Add a further checkpoint twice a year while the recommendation is still open.
AI must not
- Do not draft the government or agency response.
- Do not say a recommendation has been implemented unless the published response says so.
- Do not treat the 2008 to 2012 dataset as the current process. That publications page was not opened.
- Do not use this register for a New South Wales recommendation.
The lawyer checks
- Match each row to the published finding and the published response, not to a summary.
- Confirm the six-month and twice-yearly practice on the current coronial recommendations page.
- Send questions about a particular recommendation to the department named in the response, as the page says.
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
