When to use it
Use when an action planner is preparing a disability action plan and deciding whether to give a copy to the Australian Human Rights Commission. Section 60, which says who an action planner is, was not opened. Do not use this checklist to decide that a person must have a plan.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may sort notes the principal has written under the six section 61 headings and may list the files to be sent.
AI may
- Place each note the principal supplies under the heading the principal names
- List the website address or the file names the principal has marked for lodgement
AI must not
- Must not invent a policy, a target or an appointee
- Must not say that a person is required to have an action plan
- Must not say that registration is Commission endorsement
The lawyer checks
- Each of section 61(a) to (f) has a provision in the plan, including goals only where they may reasonably be determined
- Section 64 is a choice to give a copy, not a duty to give one
- A PDF is accompanied by an HTML or word-processor version where the Commission page asks for that, or by a page with contact details if only a PDF exists
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
