Where this comes from
The official form is published by fwc.gov.au; this page is a completion guide. Last checked on 2026-10-17.
When to use it
Use when an employer starts or agrees to bargain for a single-enterprise agreement (other than a greenfields agreement). Generate the notice from the Fair Work Commission's current template; never paraphrase or reformat it.
How AI may be used
AI may populate the prescribed notice with the employer's legal name, the agreement name and coverage from the lawyer's instructions, and build the service record, but must add no other words, formatting or explanation to the notice.
AI may
- Insert the employer's legal name, the proposed agreement name and the coverage description exactly as instructed.
- Calculate the 14-day issue deadline and the earliest voting date and diary them.
- Build the service record from distribution evidence (emails, read receipts, mail logs).
AI must not
- Must not paraphrase, summarise, translate or 'improve' the notice, or add logos, headings or cover text inside it.
- Must not decide the notification time or the scope of the agreement.
The lawyer checks
- The notice matches the current prescribed form exactly.
- The coverage in the notice matches the proposed agreement's scope.
- Every covered employee was given the notice, including those on leave, within 14 days of the notification time.
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
