When to use it
Use when a listed company is deciding whether information must be disclosed. Record the facts and the decision. Do not draft the announcement. ASX Guidance Note 8 and the Corporations Act text were not opened.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may enter the information and the date the file shows the company became aware of it. It must not decide that the information is price sensitive or draft an announcement.
AI may
- Add a row for each item the lawyer has already listed
- Record the date awareness is shown in a document the lawyer supplies
- Leave the disclose-or-not column blank
AI must not
- Must not apply an exception in the listing rules. Guidance Note 8 was not opened
- Must not draft the market announcement
- Must not state that information is not material
The lawyer checks
- Each item is assessed against the Corporations Act and the listing rules, not against this page alone
- Confidential price-sensitive information is held only as the page's warning requires, until the lawyer decides
- The decision and the person who made it are recorded before any announcement
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
