Build the workplace injury file for the OSHA log and incident report
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Build a chronology of the incident from the reports and correspondence, and list which facts would go on the OSHA 300 log and the 301 incident report. Do not complete the forms.
- What the lawyer must review
- 29 C.F.R. § 1904.29 requires OSHA Forms 300, 300-A and 301, or equivalent forms, for recordable injuries and illnesses, and requires each recordable case to be entered on the 300 log and the 301 report within seven calendar days of receiving the information. Privacy-concern cases must not show the employee's name on the 300 log. You decide whether the case is recordable and what may be written on the forms. You also open any state notice rule that applies. Do not put injury records into a public tool.
