Prepare the written submissions for the establishment or final hearing
Key facts
- Human involvement
- RedLawyer-led
- How AI is used
- Build the evidence index the lawyer drafts from: each finding the client seeks, the affidavit paragraphs, record pages and expert passages relied on for it, and the evidence against it; then check the lawyer’s finished submissions for any finding with no cited support. The tool writes no sentence of the submissions.
- What the lawyer must review
- The lawyer writes the submissions, decides which findings to seek and which to concede, verifies every reference against the evidence as filed, and checks that nothing identifies a protected person or the reporter. The child’s and the parents’ safety and privacy bear on what is said and how.

Who does what
| Role | What they do |
|---|---|
| Assistance | Supporting preparation only. Build the evidence index the lawyer drafts from: each finding the client seeks, the affidavit paragraphs, record pages and expert passages relied on for it, and the evidence against it; then check the lawyer’s finished submissions for any finding with no cited support. The tool writes no sentence of the submissions. The tool writes nothing into the document. Substantive advice, judgement and any restricted content remain with the responsible human. |
| Lawyer | Perform the substantive analysis and decisions. Independently check any permitted supporting work and approve the exact output for its intended use. |
Checklist
- Before anything is relied on, confirm the material may lawfully go into the tool at all (approved tool, no retention or training), that no reporter identity or protected address has been exposed, and that the child cannot be identified from the output.
- Confirm the tool output contains only references and gaps, and that no generated wording has been carried into the submissions.
- Check every pinpoint reference against the evidence as filed and served.
- Confirm the court’s AI-use and verification requirements in force on the filing date are met.

These are suggested working checks. Confirm the required checking with the responsible lawyer before work starts; the checking approach does not establish permission to use AI.
