Structure for advice on a practising certificate or licensing outcome
Headings for a lawyer's advice to a practitioner on what a certificate or licensing authority may do, and what the practitioner should do next. The lawyer writes the advice.

- AI use
- Red You write the text. The tool writes nothing into the document. Where permitted, it may check, clarify or collect data, and anything it checks or collects is verified.

- Status

When to use it
Use when a practitioner asks what may happen to a practising certificate, registration, or other occupational licence after a show cause event, a complaint, or a refusal, suspension or cancellation. Do not send a draft that a tool has written.
Used for these tasks
- Advise a practitioner on characterisation and likely outcome
- Advise on a practising certificate or licence decision
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
The lawyer writes the advice; AI may only list the notices and decisions on the file and check dates and section numbers the lawyer has already chosen.
AI may
- List the notices, decisions and dates already on the file
- Check a section number or date in the lawyer's draft against the source the lawyer names
AI must not
- Must not draft the advice, the likely outcome, or any characterisation of the conduct
- Must not predict a finding or a sanction
- Must not prepare a statement by the practitioner
The lawyer checks
- The advice names the power actually being used and the decision already made, if any
- Review or appeal time limits are taken from the notice and the current tribunal Act, not from memory
- The practitioner has a copy and knows what they must not do while a condition, suspension or show cause is open
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
