When to use it
Use when a health practitioner has been told of an Ahpra notification, or may be told of one, and the file needs the published stages and the page's timeframes recorded.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
The tool may enter the dates and the stage from the file, and it does not draft the practitioner's response or predict the outcome.
AI may
- Enter the date the notification was received by Ahpra, if known, and the one-week and one-month checkpoints the page describes.
- Record whether the practitioner has been contacted, and the date of the last update.
- Record the page's published proportions as figures to re-check, not as a prediction for this matter.
- Note if the file mentions immediate action, and leave that topic to its own checklist.
AI must not
- Do not draft the practitioner's reflections, the response, or a description of what happened.
- Do not say this matter will close within a month, nine months, or three months because of the page's percentages.
- Do not describe immediate action. The page links that topic and the linked page was not opened.
- Do not treat the percentages as current without reading the page again.
The lawyer checks
- Re-read the What to expect page before relying on a percentage or a timeframe.
- Confirm whether the practitioner has been contacted. The page says the first contact is sometimes notice that the concern has already been closed.
- If immediate action is mentioned, use the immediate-action checklist, not this register.
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
