When to use it
Use when the disclosure tracker still has empty rows after a Brady and Giglio request. Do not use it to argue the facts of the offense or to file a motion.
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
A tool may copy tracker rows the lawyer has marked outstanding into the letter.
AI may
- List only rows the tracker marks as still outstanding
- Insert the date of the original request
- Drop the Justice Manual sentence when the tracker says the forum is a state court
AI must not
- Must not add a category the original request did not make
- Must not argue that the missing item is material
- Must not send the letter
The lawyer checks
- Every listed item is an empty tracker row
- The forum sentence matches the original request
- The letter sets a date the lawyer chose
- The letter does not state the facts of the charge
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
