List the meeting date, whether the meeting was an executive session, and whether minutes, a marked draft, or a summary is in the file. Do not write the minutes.
What the lawyer must review
You decide what is made available and when. Section 4950(a) says the minutes, minutes proposed for adoption that are marked to indicate draft status, or a summary of the minutes, of any board meeting other than an executive session, shall be available to members within 30 days of the meeting. They shall be distributed to any member upon request and upon reimbursement of the association's costs of that distribution. Section 4950(b) says the annual policy statement prepared pursuant to § 5310 shall inform the members of their right to obtain copies and of how and where to do so. Section 5310 was not opened. Section 5200(a)(8) includes agendas and minutes of meetings of the members, the board, and any committee appointed by the board pursuant to Corporations Code § 7212 among association records, and it excludes minutes and other information from executive sessions of the board. Section 7212 was not opened. The 30-day period in § 4950 is for a board meeting. It is not stated for a meeting of the members. The tool does not write the minutes.
