Map an SSI transfer of resources for less than fair market value

- How AI is used
- List what was given away or sold, the date, and whether the lawyer says it was sold for what it was worth. Do not count a period of ineligibility.
- What the lawyer must review
- 42 U.S.C. § 1382b(c) makes an individual ineligible for SSI for a calculated number of months, not exceeding 36, after a disposal of resources for less than fair market value on or after a look-back date 36 months before the application or, if later, the disposal. The Social Security spotlight says giving a resource away, or selling it for less than it is worth, may make the person ineligible for SSI for up to 36 months, and that a sale for what the resource is worth does not start that period, although the proceeds can exceed the resource limit of $2,000 for an individual or $3,000 for a couple stated on that page. This is not a deeming rate on financial investments.
