Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Draft the request so it identifies the decision, the date it was received, and the documents the lawyer has marked. Do not predict the outcome and do not draft a court application.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide whether to ask the insurer for its own internal review, and you settle the request.
- The Commission does not decide fault, claim value or rehabilitation funding.
- Do not invent a statutory number of days for that internal review.
- Use a firm-controlled tool. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11 and any notifiable breach.

The disagreements page, current on the Commission's site, says the Commission cannot settle a dispute about who pays for rehabilitation, who was at fault, or the value of a claim. The claimant can ask the insurer to use its own internal review. Each insurer publishes its process. If the insurer does not respond, the page says to escalate and then to complain to the Commission about enforcement. If rehabilitation funding remains disputed, the page offers acceptance, voluntary non-binding mediation arranged by the Commission with the cost shared equally, or a court application. The opened pages do not set a statutory number of days for that internal review. The 14-day and six-month examples on the page are the compliance response and the liability decision.
