- What the lawyer must review
- You confirm whether the card is an NDIS clearance or a Queensland disability worker screening clearance
- Record an interstate NDIS clearance only if it is valid for more than 90 days

Health, wage and scheme records stay in a firm-controlled tool. Check ASCR r 9, APP 11, and whether a disclosure is notifiable under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
The Queensland Disability Worker Screening home page says a valid NDIS worker screening clearance issued in another state or territory does not have to be reapplied for in Queensland. NDIS clearance holders may renew up to 90 days before the card expires, and the application must be in before expiry if the person is to keep working while it is processed.
The Queensland before-you-start page says a person working or volunteering with a registered NDIS provider or a state-funded disability provider may need a clearance. If a clearance is required, it is needed before the person starts. That is the page's 'no card, no start' rule. The Commission says some states or territories allow work while an application is pending. The Queensland page does not.
