Build the NDIS participant's decision, review and deadline register
Key facts
- Human involvement
- GreenLawyer review
- How AI is used
- From the NDIA notices, plans, internal review decisions and Tribunal correspondence the lawyer uploads, extract every decision with its date of notice, whether the notice says it is reviewable, the 3-month internal review deadline, the 90-day point after an internal review request, the 28-day Tribunal deadline, plan reassessment dates and any nominee or guardian on the file.
- What the lawyer must review
- The lawyer checks each date against the notice itself, decides whether each decision is in fact reviewable, confirms when the notice was received rather than dated, and enters the deadlines in the firm's diary system.

Checklist
- Open each notice and confirm the decision date and the date it was received; the 3-month and 28-day periods run from receipt, not from the date printed on the letter.
- Check that budget reductions and other decisions the NDIA says are not reviewable are marked as such, and that a high support needs variation route is recorded where it applies.
- Where an internal review request has been made, confirm the date it was made (including a written record of an oral request) and diarise the 90-day point.
- Confirm who may give instructions on each decision: the participant, a plan or correspondence nominee, a guardian or a parent of a child participant.
