Triage an involuntary petition and keep the service record together
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Make a cover list: the form used, the chapter checked, the ground checked, the petitioners named, and each service paper with its date and page. Decide nothing about eligibility.
- What the lawyer must review
- Official Form 105 and Official Form 205 are the petitions. Rule 1010 is the summons and the manner of service. Rule 1011(b) is the 21 days after service in which a defence must be filed and served. You keep the proof of service with the petition because that date starts the 21 days, except where service is by publication and the court sets the time. The list is an index. It is not an answer and not a petition.
