How AI is used
List the petition's stated ground, each petitioning creditor, and the pages that show a dispute, payment, or a custodian. Write no sentence of the answer.
What the lawyer must review
Section 303(d) allows the debtor, or a general partner who did not join, to answer. Rule 1011(a) allows the debtor to contest. Rule 1011(d) says the answer must not assert a claim against a petitioning creditor except to defeat the petition. If the petition is contested, Rule 1013(a) requires the court to rule at the earliest practicable time and promptly to order relief, dismiss, or make another appropriate order. After trial, § 303(h) allows relief only if the debtor is generally not paying debts as they become due, unless those debts are the subject of a bona fide dispute as to liability or amount, or a custodian of the kind described in (h)(2) was appointed or took possession within 120 days before the petition. If the court dismisses other than on consent of all petitioners and the debtor, and the debtor does not waive the judgment, § 303(i) allows costs or a reasonable attorney's fee, and, against a petitioner who filed in bad faith, proximate damages or punitive damages. You write the answer. Rule 9011 applies to it.
