Checklist
- Start the notice on service of the notice or the safety notice form. End it on the earlier event in s 30(1)(b), or on the s 30(1A) event if a recognised DVO for the same people existed when the notice was issued.
- The first mention date is as soon as practicable where s 31(3)(a) applies, and in any case not later than 14 days after service of the notice or the form completed under s 27(3). Section 27(3) was not opened.
- A corrected form served under s 34(b) does not move the start. The opened text measures only the s 31(3)(a) time from service of that corrected form.
- The notice is taken to be the police officer's application and a summons to the first mention date. A notice that ended under s 30(1)(b) continues as the application until final determination or withdrawal.
