Quote the acceleration clause and any notice it requires
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Quote the acceleration clause and any notice period the contract itself states. Do not add a statutory warning period and do not say the debt has been accelerated.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide whether acceleration is available. No statute requiring an extra notice before an acceleration clause operates was opened. The only period this check uses is a period written in the contract. If a debt collector would threaten suit on a consumer debt, 12 CFR § 1006.26(b) still forbids suit or a threat of suit on a time-barred debt. You decide whether that rule applies. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires an explanation before a notice goes out. You write any notice. The tool does not.
