Compare federal post-judgment enforcement options

- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Build a table with one row for a writ of execution, one for discovery in aid of the judgment, and one for a garnishment of earnings. For each row, quote the limit that the opened statute states and name the fact still missing from the file. Do not choose a remedy.
- What the lawyer must review
- Rule 69(a)(1) enforces a money judgment by a writ of execution unless the court directs otherwise. The procedure on execution, and in proceedings supplementary to execution, follows the procedure of the state where the court is located, except where a federal statute applies. Rule 69(a)(2) lets the judgment creditor obtain discovery from any person, including the judgment debtor. For earnings, § 1673(a) provides that the garnishment may not exceed 25 percent of disposable earnings for that week, or the amount by which disposable earnings for that week exceed thirty times the federal minimum hourly wage in 29 U.S.C. § 206(a)(1). Section 1673(b) states different percentages for a support order. Section 1673(c) forbids a court or a State to enforce an order that violates the section. You choose the remedy. Section 1675 was not opened.
