- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Compare the lawyer's operation note with the limits you have been given from Part 107: groundspeed, altitude, cloud clearance, visual line of sight, operations over people, and airspace authorisation. Quote the section. Do not say the flight is legal.
- What the lawyer must review
- Section 107.51 limits groundspeed to 87 knots (100 miles per hour), altitude to 400 feet above ground level unless the aircraft is within a 400-foot radius of a structure and not higher than 400 feet above that structure's immediate uppermost limit, flight visibility to 3 statute miles, and cloud clearance to 500 feet below and 2,000 feet horizontally. Section 107.39 limits operations over human beings. Section 107.41 requires prior Air Traffic Control authorisation for Class B, C or D airspace and for the lateral boundaries of the surface area of Class E airspace designated for an airport. Section 107.31 is the visual-line-of-sight rule. Waivers are under § 107.205 for the provisions that section lists. You decide whether this flight needs a waiver or an authorisation.
