Record a small-UAS registration number without clearing the flight
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Record any registration number the file shows for the aircraft, and the operator it names. Do not say the aircraft may be flown.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide whether the aircraft is properly registered. Section 107.13 says a person operating a civil small unmanned aircraft system for purposes of flight must comply with § 91.203(a)(2). That section was not opened, so this check does not state what the registration must show and does not say a number in the file satisfies it. Section 107.12 is about the remote pilot certificate. It is not the aircraft registration. Model Rule 1.4(b) requires you to tell the client that the registration rule itself was not opened. Formal Opinion 512 applies before the papers go into a tool. A number that is not in the file is not invented.
