Where this comes from
The official form is published by art.gov.au; this page is a completion guide. Last checked on 2026-10-18.
When to use it
Use when a party needs the Tribunal to summon a person to give evidence or produce documents in a review (s 74 of the Administrative Review Tribunal Act 2024).
Used for these tasks
Each task page says how far AI may help with the task and what the lawyer must review.
How AI may be used
AI may help draft the description of the documents sought from the issues in the review and check each request is complete; the lawyer settles the scope and checks every request before it is lodged.
AI may
- Draft a description of the documents sought, linked to the issues in the review, for the lawyer to narrow and settle
- Check that a separate request is completed for each summons and the right summons form is used
AI must not
- Must not decide whom to summon or the scope of the summons
- Must not put documents produced under summons into a tool the Tribunal's directions and the law do not allow
The lawyer checks
- Correct form: give evidence, produce documents, or both
- One request for each summons
- Documents described precisely enough for the person to identify them, with a clear link to the issues
- Use of produced documents limited to the proceeding
Method: how the Green, Yellow and Red levels are decided. This is guidance for planning, not legal advice.
