Collect estate facts for letters to beneficiaries and creditors
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- From the administration file, list the letters date, each asset on the working inventory with its page, and each creditor who demanded payment with the amount if printed and the page. Write no sentence of a letter.
- What the lawyer must review
- You write every letter you sign. Probate Code § 8800 requires the inventory and appraisal of property to be administered. Section 9050 requires notice of administration to known or reasonably ascertainable creditors, and § 9100 sets the claim time. A letter that states an asset, a figure or a deadline is your statement of those facts. Opinion 512 requires you to check the fact sheet against the file before any sentence leaves the office.
