Turn a probate court's letter into a checklist
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Copy each item the court's letter asks the personal representative to answer or to file. If the letter asks about the inventory, copy the date letters issued. Write no response.
- What the lawyer must review
- You write the response. If the letter asks about the inventory and appraisal, § 8800 requires a combined inventory and appraisal to be filed within four months after letters issue to a general personal representative, unless the court allows further time. You answer only what that letter asks. Opinion 512 requires you to check the list against the letter before you rely on it.
