How AI is used
The rule is state law, and the lawyer must confirm which state's law governs. For example, Florida Statutes s 732.508 provides that revoking a will that revoked an earlier will does not revive the earlier will. From the will file, list the revoked will or part, and any later revocation of the will that revoked it, or any revocation of a codicil. Leave blank whether it is revived.
What the lawyer must review
The rule is state law, and the lawyer must confirm which state's law governs. For example, Florida Statutes s 732.508(1) says the testator's revocation of a will that revokes a former will does not revive the former will, even if the former will still exists. Subsection (2) says revocation of a codicil does not revoke the will, and, absent evidence to the contrary, it is presumed that the testator intended to reinstate the provisions the revoked codicil had changed, as if that codicil had never been executed. The tool lists the documents. It does not decide that a will was revived and it does not construe the later instrument.
