Record the stop-work orders the department describes

- How AI is used
- From the order, record whether it is a full stop-work order or a partial one, and whether it was issued for work without a permit. Record the page rule that a full order prohibits all work except remedial work required to make the site safe, and that a partial order does not stop all work. Do not prepare an order. Do not prepare correction papers.
- What the lawyer must review
- The lawyer decides whether an order can be issued and what it can require. The NYC Department of Buildings page describes two types. A full stop-work order prohibits all work, excluding remedial work required to make the site safe. A partial order does not stop all work: certain work, or work in a particular area, is prohibited. If the order is for work without a permit, work cannot resume until a permit has been issued and the order has been rescinded. Resuming work before rescission can draw further penalties even if a permit has since been issued, and the department will not rescind the order until those penalties are paid. The page states a civil penalty of 6,000 dollars for a first offence of working against an order and 12,000 dollars for a subsequent offence. The guide to when each type may be issued was not opened. The page says a certificate of correction is an affidavit and must be accompanied by a sworn statement. The lawyer writes those papers. The tool writes none of them.
