Prepare a treatment chronology from the medical records
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- One row per record entry. Columns are the date on the page, the provider named, and the procedure or finding in the words of the page. Do not add a diagnosis, a cause, or a sentence about damages.
- What the lawyer must review
- 45 C.F.R. § 164.502(a) forbids a covered entity or business associate from using or disclosing protected health information except as the Privacy Rule permits. Not every plaintiff's firm is a covered entity. Model Rule 1.6 still covers information relating to the representation, so the records do not go into a public tool. You read the chronology before it is used. The tool only copies the page.
