Section 278 requires the insurer, within 10 business days after receiving the notice, to state whether it complies, to identify any noncompliance and, if compliance is not waived, to allow at least 10 business days to remedy it. If that notice is not given in 10 business days, the notice of claim is taken to comply. A further notice is due within 10 business days after the remedy period. The employer, or employers, against whom negligence is alleged are advised within 5 business days after a complying notice or a waiver. Section 289 requires the compulsory conference within 3 months after the insurer gives the claimant a written notice under section 281, unless the parties agree a later date or the court fixes the time or dispenses with the conference. The text of section 281 was not opened. This diary is not the limitation count in section 302.
