Build a medical chronology from the record set
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- List date, provider, diagnosis or procedure, and the page, using only words that appear in the records. Leave a gap where a date is missing. Do not score impairment or give a prognosis.
- What the lawyer must review
- The chronology is a working paper. Treatment records are protected health information. 45 C.F.R. § 164.502 prohibits a covered entity or business associate from using or disclosing PHI except as the Privacy Rule permits or requires. A firm that is not a covered entity still owes Model Rule 1.6: do not put the records into a public tool. Formal Opinion 512 requires review of tool output. You read the records before the chronology is used in advice or a filing.
