- How AI is used
- List the punishment the command has proposed and the dates on the Article 15 paper. Write no advice.
- What the lawyer must review
- You advise. Article 15 (10 U.S.C. § 815) lets a commanding officer impose specified punishments for minor offences without a court-martial. Except for a member attached to or embarked in a vessel, punishment may not be imposed if the member has, before the punishment, demanded trial by court-martial. The statute lists different maximums for officers and for other personnel, and further maximums when a more senior officer imposes the punishment. The President and the Secretary concerned may add limits by regulation. Read Article 15 and the service regulation before you advise. The tool writes none of that advice.
