How AI is used
From the certificate of inspection and the current operation, list each condition on how and where the vessel may operate, and mark any present use the certificate does not describe. Do not decide that a suspension or an exemption applies.
What the lawyer must review
Section 3313(a) requires the vessel, during the term of its certificate of inspection, to comply with its conditions unless relieved by a suspension or an exemption granted under section 3306(e). Section 3306(e) was not opened. If the vessel is not in compliance, subsection (b) requires a written order to correct the deficiencies promptly, allows the Secretary to permit repairs at a convenient place when that can be done safely, and allows the vessel to be required to cease operating at once and the certificate to be suspended or revoked. Subsection (c) requires revocation if an unsafe condition ordered corrected is not corrected at once. You decide whether this operation is within the certificate and whether a new certificate or a relief under section 3306(e) is required.
