How AI is used
From the books the lawyer supplies, list each creditor, the amount the books state, and any document that claims a security interest, quoting the collateral description in that document. Do not fill a schedule and do not say an interest is perfected.
What the lawyer must review
11 U.S.C. § 521(a)(1) requires the debtor to file a list of creditors and, unless the court orders otherwise, a schedule of assets and liabilities, a schedule of current income and current expenditures, a statement of financial affairs (and the § 342(b) certificate when that section applies), copies of payment advices or other evidence of payment received within 60 days before the petition from any employer, a statement of monthly net income, and a statement of any reasonably anticipated increase in income or expenditures over the 12 months after filing. The lawyer prepares those papers. Bankruptcy Rule 9011(b) is the certification when a petition, pleading, written motion, or other document is presented. Rule 9011(a) excepts a list, schedule, or statement from the signature requirement. The tool still writes none of the filed schedule. Perfection of a security interest is state commercial law, and that statute was not opened.
