Collate source pages for a report to creditors in a chapter 11 case
Key facts

- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- Build a table of the figures and documents the lawyer has marked for a report, with the source page for each figure. Do not write the report.
- What the lawyer must review
- 11 U.S.C. § 1106(a)(4) is the chapter 11 trustee’s duty to file a statement of the investigation and to transmit a copy or a summary to any creditors’ committee, any equity security holders’ committee, any indenture trustee, and any other entity the court designates. The lawyer writes that statement. Bankruptcy Rule 9011(b) is the certification when a document is presented to the court by signing, filing, submitting, or later advocating it. The United States Trustee monthly operating report is a different form and was addressed separately. Formal Opinion 512: the table is checked before the lawyer writes.
