List a payment direction across contracts without allocating the money
Key facts
- Human involvement
- YellowClose supervision
- How AI is used
- List each contract the direction names and the amount of the payment the file states. Do not split the payment and do not say the direction is effective.
- What the lawyer must review
- You decide how the payment is applied. No statute on allocating a payment across credit contracts was opened. The direction is quoted, not applied. Rule 11(b)(3) applies if you later allege the balance of a contract. Model Rule 1.4(b) is the explanation to the client. A split that is not written in the direction is not invented. You do the arithmetic if you need a figure for advice.
